![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Particularly because the Rogue is the only non-spellcaster class besides the Barbarian, Fighter, and Monk. Especially because I want my character to be quick, dart-in-and-out, sneaky (except for the trails of glitter she leaves behind), and good at climbing and exploring and dexterity and all those things that are perfect for the Rogue class. Mending and Detect Magic and even spells that charm rather than fear just don’t fit what I’m imagining. I want to make hallucinations and cause psychic damage while terrorizing enemies with visions of vicious little red-eyes bunnies and unicorns trying to skewer them. Healing and buffing makes sense, but when I tried to pick out spells, I was incredibly unenthusiastic. Conceivably you could pretend pixie dust can have all sorts of crazy effects on people. ![]() So I finished the Pixiedust Sorcerous Origin, felt all proud and accomplished, and then realized that I don’t actually care about any of the spellcasting except for what I wrote into the Sorcerous Origin features. ![]()
